Rutgers Road to Consulting (RTC) is an exclusive two-year pipeline program for rising sophomores and juniors to build skills and competencies for a career in consulting. In the Management Consulting class, members of this program develop both hard and soft skills used in the consulting industry and practice case interviewing through a rigorous, hands-on curriculum. Outside of class, RTC organizes technical and behavioral workshops, speaker events, and professional mentorship opportunities for students to continue building their consulting skill set and learn more about the work consultants do.
Since its inception, RTC has had successful cohorts, with members securing internships and jobs at prominent companies such as McKinsey, BCG, Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC, and Accenture. And through our partnerships with many of these firms, we have organized case competitions, brought in speakers, and grown a mentorship network to further develop our students' consulting capabilities.
RTC also has a robust and diverse advisory board representing various firms and sectors that offer support to students as practicing consultants. They leverage their experience, expertise, and network to advance students’ success and provide valuable insight into consulting roles, hiring practices, and career progression. Our board acts as a resource for mentoring, case analysis, classroom learning, and other activities.
RTC's primary goal is to place our cohort members in roles at top firms like MBB, Big 4, and elite boutique consulting firms, and members succeed at these companies by applying the skills and experiences that they develop through RTC’s program.
