LinkedIn: Rutgers ranks No. 5 for job placement among the world's 100 best business schools for career advancement
Rutgers Business School's Full-Time MBA Program is No. 5 for job placement in a new LinkedIn ranking of the 100 best business schools in the world to grow your career.
The Rutgers Full-Time MBA program is ranked No. 79 in the world, No. 40 in the nation, No. 12 among U.S. public business schools, No. 6 in the Big Ten, and the No. 1 public MBA in the Northeast U.S., based on the new ranking.
The LinkedIn methodology measured job placement (hiring rate and labor market demand), career advancement, network growth and strength, leadership potential, and gender diversity. Their exclusive LinkedIn data comes from looking at the career outcomes of MBA alums.
“Strong employment outcomes result from a partnership between the students and me. I coach them, and they rise to the occasion," Dean R. Vera, assistant dean of Graduate Career Management, said. "Moreover, I’ve cultivated employer and alumni relationships in the past 18 years that continue to bear for MBA employment.”
Weiwei Chen, professor and senior director of MBA Programs, said students also benefit from the introduction of new courses and updated curricula that prepare them for the ever-evolving business landscape. "We collaborate closely with students, providing robust academic support and enriching extracurricular training," Chen said, "and our exceptional faculty, who bring theoretical knowledge and practical experience, are committed to honing students’ skills."
"Most importantly, our MBA students exhibit remarkable dedication and hard work, striving to achieve their goals and excel in their careers,” Chen said.
LinkedIn News authors Juliette Faraut and Siobhan Morrin also questioned the “staying power” of the MBA degree in a dynamic business world and found it was still relevant. According to their research, the percentage of senior leaders hired each year with an MBA degree has increased by 25% globally since 2010. The percentage of entrepreneurs with the degree has increased by 45% over the same time period.
The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC)’s annual Corporate Recruiters Survey of international recruiters reveals that a third expect to hire more MBA graduates this year compared to last, with a growing emphasis on global business skills, cross-cultural competence, and expertise in tech and AI.
In total, 931 corporate recruiters and hiring managers from staffing firms worldwide participated in GMAC's 2024 Corporate Recruiters Survey.
Respondents came from 38 countries, providing adequate sample sizes to report details for Africa, Central and South Asia, East and Southeast Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, the United States, and Western Europe. Global results are weighted by the percentage gross domestic product (GDP) of each world region to adjust for the regional employment opportunity potential.
Of the 100 best business schools to grow your career, 58 are in North and Latin America, 29 are in Europe and the Middle East, and 13 are in Asia. The global ranking followed LinkedIn's inaugural business school ranking last year of the top 50 MBA Programs in the U.S.
