Lauren Demarco
Assistant Professor of Professional Practice
Lauren is an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice in the Finance and Economics department at Rutgers Business School. Her interests focus on the cross section of Financial Engineering, Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
She is a Co-founder of COSM RESEARCH, a Biotechnology Commercialization Startup that researches, validates and commercializes biotechnology products focusing on the B2B market.
Prior to Rutgers, she started her career at PSEG Energy Resources and Trade as a Quantitative Energy Analyst in Electricity Markets and Derivatives Trading Consultant. She has been trading commodity futures for over 10 years.
Since joining Rutgers Business School, she has expanded her scope to synthesize entrepreneurial thinking with innovative investment strategies to drive Energy Markets and Biotechnology to the level of innovation we need to solve the world's greatest challenges.
Lauren is proud to be a member of Rutgers Business School, her primary courses include Quantitative Methods, Derivatives and Fixed Income in both RBS graduate and undergraduate programs. Her teaching methods include a commitment to academic rigor coupled with an application-based learning approach to ensure students are prepared with deep insight and dynamic skills to be the next generation of business leaders.
