Doug Miller’s research in Strategic Management covers many aspects of corporate strategy, including mergers and acquisitions, alliances, diversification, technological diversity, and corporate renewal, and has been published in the Academy of Management Journal, the Strategic Management Journal, Research Policy, Managerial & Decision Economics, and Strategic Management Review. Prof. Miller serves on the editorial boards of the Strategic Management Journal and the Academy of Management Review.
Prof. Miller teaches Strategy using the case study method. He has authored several cases and led discussions on over 100 case studies in his career, spanning nearly every industry. Prof. Miller has served as chair of the Corporate Strategy interest group of the Strategic Management Society and as a Fulbright Specialist to Peru. With a doctorate from The Ohio State University, Prof. Miller was previously on faculty at Tulane University and the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign). He spent 2020-2022 in full-time administration as an associate dean at Rutgers Business School.
