Rutgers Business School presents John Harmon, Founder, President and CEO of the African American Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey (AACCNJ), in conversation with Alfred Blake, assistant director of Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Programs at Rutgers Business School.

John E. Harmon has served as the Founder, President and CEO of the African American Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey (AACCNJ), since 2007. In this role, he is responsible for establishing, implementing, and executing the mission and the fiduciary oversight and governance of AACCNJ per its Bylaws. In addition, he works to identify strategic partnerships in both the public and private sectors to connect AACCNJ members and supporters to resources and opportunities to grow and sustain their goals and objectives. Harmon serves as an advocate on behalf of the 1.1 million African American residents and the over 70,000 Black-owned NJ businesses to ensure that policy at the municipal, county, and federal level provides fairness, equity and access to a level playing field in the marketplace. 

Alfred E. Blake IV serves as the assistant director of Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Programs for the Center for Urban Entrepreneurship and Economic Development (CUEED) at Rutgers Business School.  He created The Entrepreneurship Mindset Tour to present to various schools throughout Rutgers Newark and Piscataway and has reached over 2500 students in class.

Blake has created entrepreneurship speaker series, mentoring programs, and advised students within the Entrepreneurship Minor and concentration.  He has increased Entrepreneurship Minor Enrollment for the New Brunswick campus by over 200%.
