Business Insights: Does your device influence how you interact with people?
Academic Minute recently produced a piece with Rutgers Business School professor Terri Kurtzberg called “Deception by Device” featuring her research on how technology and our associations with laptops and cellphones influence our behavior.
According to Kurtzberg, there may be changes in what you decide and how you relate to other people depending on what type of device you’re using. "People seem more willing to lie to someone else, in the name of taking more for themselves," she said, "when they do tasks on their laptops instead of on their cell phones."
