After many years of visiting China and Vietnam, the Rutgers EMBA Powerhouse will now be visiting Japan. The Land of the Rising Sun is reawakening. As China struggles today, Japan makes a long-awaited come-back. We will visit factories, R&D centers and labs and participate in seminars with industry experts in Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto. Rutgers Powerhouse Embas will zip back and forth on the Shinkansen (the Japanese bullet train). And it's not all work. The culture and history are equally important. We spend one day on a guided trip to Mount Fuji and then another day on the temples and shrines up in the mountains outside Kyoto to fully understand firsthand the finely interwoven connections between Japanese history, religion, culture and business.

More current details will be provided at the EMBA Open Houses. Please register to attend one.

To appreciate the vitality of the re-emergence of the Japanese economy first-hand, Rutgers EMBAs participate in a 10-day summer residency program in Tokyo and Kyoto. The course includes business visits, seminars with key international business and government officials (both U.S. and Japanese), and day trips. You will witness first-hand the culture, energy, complexity and dynamism of the highly sophisticated Japanese economy, along with the challenges and opportunities for U.S. business in Japan.
