#15 – World Ranking for Research Productivity, Department of Accounting & Information Systems

A recent study by Accounting and Finance ranked the Department of Accounting & Information Systems at Rutgers Business School (RBS) 15th in the world in research productivity. Among public universities in the United States, RBS is 4th, behind only the universities of Michigan, Texas at Austin, and California at Berkeley. The department includes a number of world renowned scholars and is the home of the Rutgers Accounting Web – one of the oldest and largest accounting Internet sites in the world.

#57 – Top Business Schools: Nationwide (#17 - Employment Rate 3 Months After Graduation)

U.S. News & World Report's "America's Best Business Schools 2011 Edition" places Rutgers Business School at #57 nationwide. Once again, RBS holds the highest rank of any New Jersey business school. The ranking is highlighted by the #17 national rank for "Employment rate three months after graduation."

#1 – Most Diverse National University, since 1997

U.S. News and World Report ranks the Newark campus of Rutgers University as the #1 "most diverse national university in the United States." Rutgers Business School- Newark and New Brunswick is an integral part of this campus, which has received this distinction each year since 1997 when U.S. News began assessing diversity.

The Princeton Review

#6 – Most Competitive Students: Nationwide

The Princeton Review's 2009 edition of Best 296 Business Schools survey of AACSB-accredited b-schools ranks Rutgers Business School as #6 nationwide for "Most Competitive Students." The book also lauds RBS for its "renowned international business program" and its "top-rated pharmaceutical program." Also cited as assets are the school's location in proximity to New York City and Philadelphia and amidst a high concentration of corporate headquarters, as well as "the quality of the program" and "terrific professors who know real-life situations and bring that experience to the classroom."

#39 – Top Business Schools: Regional

The Wall Street Journal’s 2007 "Top Business Schools" survey of corporate recruiters once again ranked RBS at #39 nationally among regional business schools (defined as schools that tend to draw many of their recruiters from their local regions). Among Rutgers Business School’s “most impressive features,” recruiters cited its location "in a major metro area,” its “efficient and professional career-services department,” and praised our students as "well-rounded and very prepared." RBS is the only New Jersey business school ranked.

Rutgers one of the “Top 10 Quant Schools”

A board of esteemed Wall Street veterans assembled by Advanced Trading in July of 2008 has named Rutgers Business School as one of the top ten quantitative finance schools, based on Wall Street recruit ability -- the programs from which Wall Street firms recruit and the programs that produce the best quant grads.
