On Campus
The Rutgers–Newark campus offers a variety of on-campus dining facilities, including 1 Park Bistro. Located in One Washington Park, the new home of the Business School on campus, 1 Park Bistro is a vibrant retail space that caters directly to student requests for an artisan deli, new age pizza, healthy options and international cuisine while keeping popular mainstays such as salads, soups, and burgers. 1 Park Bistro’s hours while classes are in session are Monday – Thursday 8 am to 8 pm and Friday 8 am to 3 pm. Also on campus are the Stonesby Commons and Eatery, the Robeson Food Court, the University Club, the Scarlet Lounge and Café, the Law and Justice Café, and Starbucks Coffee.
Off Campus
The University Heights section of Newark, and the nearby Ironbound section, offer a wide variety of dining options, including an array of ethnic cuisine. From pizza (Robert’s), or Thai (Hot C 2 House of Thai), or dinner (Martini 494), to the renowned Portuguese cuisine of the Ironbound, there are too many options for a comprehensive list to be provided here. Groceries
An on-campus convenience store, the Raider Mart, is located on the Plaza Level of the Paul Robeson Student Center. In addition, a shuttle bus operates each weekday afternoon to supermarkets in nearby Kearny and Harrison.
