2012 Business Plan Competition
Welcome to the Rutgers Business School (RBS) 2012 Business Plan Competition, supported by the Sales Executives Club Foundationof New Jersey.
Business Plan Competition Objectives
The objective of the Rutgers Business School Business Plan Competition is to encourage MBA entrepreneurs and support growth of jobs in New Jersey. In order to compete for the business competition prizes, there must be a serious intent to launch the proposed business. While the competition is open to current Rutgers University students, the leadership roles in the business venture must be filled by one of the three eligible categories: Rutgers Business School senior undergraduate students, current MBA students, recent graduates, and recent MBA alumni. For those current Rutgers University students who are not in one of the three eligible leadership categories, you can still compete in the competition. We can match you with a team of eligible members. Alternatively, if you are in one of the eligible leadership categories that would like to join the competition, we can match with a team. For more information, please contact Loubna Erraji. Individuals or teams of up to five students/alumni can enter the competition.

Tashni-Ann Dubroy (RBS MBA ’11)and Tiffani Bailey Lash, co-founders of Tea and Honey Blends, a hair care company, impressed judges with business plan ready to take off.
The competition is supported by the Sales Executives Club of Northern New Jersey Foundation, which will provide total cash prizes of $40,000. Judges will be selected from Rutgers Business School MBA Alumni who have succeeded in entrepreneurial endeavors.

Registration for the competition will occur upon submission of the One Page Executive Summary, which will summarize the business plan in layman's terms. An Entrepreneurship Boot Camp will be held in Newark, and will be an intense training that will give you the necessary tools to determine if your idea has a market and how you can get your business off the ground. Another workshop, the Business Plan Pitch Seminar will be held in Newark as well, is designed to help participants polish their plans for consideration for the final round.
