Campus Life
Clubs
Rutgers Business School provides students with numerous opportunities to enhance their learning experience outside of the classroom. Student clubs, organized around academic and other interests, exist at both the graduate and undergraduate levels on the Newark and New Brunswick campuses. For more information on these clubs, please visit the Prospective Student area for the program in which you are interested.
Recreation
RBS students have access to the university’s first-rate athletic centers. The Golden Dome on the Newark Campus features a newly-renovated and expanded fitness center, recreational gymnasium, pool, and racquetball and tennis courts. In New Brunswick/Piscataway, students can choose from seven state-of-the art facilities including the Sonny Werblin Recreational Center on the Busch Campus. Werblin contains a fitness center, multi-sport gymnasium, squash/racquetball courts, indoor golf range and an Olympic pool.
Culture & Entertainment
The Rutgers-Newark campus is located minutes away from the Newark Museum; Newark Symphony Hall; the New Jersey Performing arts Center (NJPAC), a 250,000-square-foot complex that includes two theaters, two restaurants, a soaring rotunda, and an outdoor plaza where performances are often held; and Bears Stadium, a minor league ballpark.
The New Brunswick/Piscataway area, which is one of the nation’s major health care centers, is home to Rutgers’ Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum, the George Street Playhouse and the State Theater.
Both campuses are connected to the cultural and entertainment attractions in New York City via NJ Transit rail service. (The trip to midtown Manhattan takes about 20 minutes from Newark and an hour from New Brunswick). The Meadowlands Sports Complex, home to four professional sports franchises and site of many entertainment events, is easily accessible by car.
