"The MBA in Professional Accounting at Rutgers Business School is a wonderful program, and I am proud to be a part of it.
"My classmates worked in many diverse professions prior to beginning the PAMBA program. Before entering the program, I taught English as a Foreign Language in Alicante, Spain, and worked as a supervisor in Tampa, Florida. As a political science undergraduate major and Spanish minor, I find it both remarkable and reassuring that in 14 short months and with a small move from sunny, warm Florida, I have been able to gain the knowledge and skills required to enter a profession I previously knew very little about. The MBA in Professional Accounting has given me the education, encouragement, and connections to begin a new and exciting career.
"The education that the Professional Accounting Program provides is of the highest quality. The professors are outstanding and always ready, willing, and able to assist any student with questions or concerns. Interaction in the classroom is excellent and will provide a good solid foundation for my career. Having students of many diverse backgrounds in the classroom brings a variety of concerns and perspectives to the subject matter discussed, allowing for a creative learning environment. Additionally, we had many opportunities to meet with the prior year’s Professional Accounting class, and they provided us with guidance, encouragement, reassurance, and support during the initial stages of the program.
"Furthermore, internship placement through recruitment at Rutgers is exceptional. The internship, which takes place between January and March, gives students the real-life experience of what it takes to be an accountant. Most of my classmates have paid internships lined up at the Big Four accounting firms and large regional firms. I am looking forward to beginning my career at Deloitte & Touche during the 2008 Winter Internship period of the program. I believe that accounting firms feel that that the Rutgers Business School MBA in Professional Accounting Program is a successful, well-run program that provides students with a first rate education, and supplies them with well-prepared employees."
