Certificate in Government Financial Management

This certificate is earned by completing the following four online courses on a nonmatriculating basis:

  • Government Accounting and Auditing
  • Design and Development of Information Systems
  • Government Budgeting Systems
  • Public Sector Auditing

In addition to receiving the certificate, these courses will prepare a student to sit for the Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) exam sponsored by the Association of Government Accountants.

Students enrolled in or graduate of the certificate program have the option to matriculate (requires acceptance of full application to Rutgers Business School). Courses completed toward the certificate will count toward the master of Accountancy in Governmental Accounting degree.
