International Applicants
In addition to the items listed in the Admissions Process section, you should be aware of these special instructions which apply to your application for admission. Because of the additional documentation required, please start the admissions process as soon as possible and be sure to adhere to all application deadlines. *Notice: All applicants with international degrees applying to the full or part time MBA program must have their educational credentials evaluated for both equivalency to a U.S. Bachelor degree and individual course evaluations and GPA, using a NACES accredited credentialing agency. For a list of NACES agencies, go to: naces.org/members.htm.
If an applicant received an advanced degree from the U.S., their undergraduate transcript does not have to be evaluated by an accredited credentialing agency.
- All post-secondary transcripts, marksheets, examination results, diplomas and degrees must be original or certified copies. If not issued in English, a translation must be provided from a professional translation agency.
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): Required of applicants whose native language is not English. Testing materials are available from:

toefl.org - The International Student Advisor’s Report (.pdf), if you are currently studying in the United States.
- Financial documentation for those who intend to hold F1 or J1 visas (see the section below)
For those who intend to hold an F1 student visa or J1 exchange visitor visa you must submit adequate financial documentation that sufficient funds are available to finance your education and living expenses. International students are not eligible to apply for financial assistance through the University, and the full-time program of study will prevent you from working significant hours to cover expenses. To document your finances you must complete the International Student Financial Statement. Return that form along with an original bank statement or other financial certification to the admissions office. Rutgers Business School's Graduate Admissions Office will issue an I-20 form to an admitted student who has provided sufficient financial documentation upon receipt of the student’s admission acknowledgement form and the $300 non-refundable tuition deposit.
