Advanced Standing: Full-Time MBA Students
The MBA degree normally requires a minimum of 60 credits. However, full-time students may receive advanced standing/transfer credit for prior academic work. All requests for advanced standing by full-time MBA students must be made via submitting the “Application for Advanced Standing/Transfer Credit – FT Students” by the end of the first semester of the program. A student may be considered for a maximum of 6 credits of advanced standing credits. Students will receive 2 credits toward their MBA curriculum for undergraduate courses that are 3 or more credits and meet the Advanced Standing criteria. If a student does not submit a request for advanced standing by the end of their first semester, they forfeit the opportunity to receive advanced standing for courses taken prior to enrolling in the Rutgers MBA program. All students are required to complete a minimum of 49 credits in residence at Rutgers MBA program.
Note: A student entering Rutgers Business School from another AACSB program may receive a maximum of 12 credits of core and/or electives.
CPA License
A student who is a CPA will receive three credits for the core accounting course. To receive credit, please include a copy of your CPA license with your request. Please include your Rutgers Identification (RUID) number in the top right corner of the license.
